our ears

First, sound waves hit the outer ear.
After that, sound waves travel through the ear canal.
After that, sound waves go to ear drum and vibrate it.
The three bones in the middle ear transmit the sound vibrations to the inner ear. Around the three bones is a cavity.
In the inner ear, there is a cochlea. It is like a snail. It is full of fluid. In the cochlea, there are hair cells above the gel.
In the cochlea, the sound vibrations make the gel and hair cells sway. Its movements send messages to the brain so that we can hear

The shape of the outer ear increase volume and determine where it comes from.
The shape of ear canal is a tube.
The length of the ear canal of human is about 2.5 cm.
The length of the three bones is only 3 mm. It is the smallest bones in the body.

The hair cells can die. When it dies, human can not hear.
